The End of The Purity and the Beginning of a New Installment
The Kurgan Crusade is the ninth installment of The Purity literary series, which belongs to the expanded multiverse of Continuus Nexus.
Tolmarher began writing The Purity in 2022 and completed it in 2024. However, if you’re already a reader of any of the Continuus Nexus series, you’ll know that this expanded multiverse has been continuously expanding every year since 2012, with series such as Chronicles of Aqueron, Red Messiah, Legends of the Black Sun, and The Purity.
Tolmarher is already working on the new series, a continuation of The Purity, which he has mentioned is set to be published before the end of 2024.
The Purity has served as the unifying nexus of the previous series, providing a sense of vastness to the saga and explaining many questions that had remained unresolved: What happened in the Milky Way after the Axia War and the escape of Arryn’s contingent? Are the Exo from Legends of the Black Sun and the Builders from Chronicles of Aqueron the same race? Are the Archons extradimensional beings? Is interdimensional travel possible?
For all these reasons, and because of the inherited or original storylines that appear in The Purity, the next saga will continue the events of The Purity, featuring the same characters and the same context in which it ends—but set a decade later.
We are truly at the midpoint of the planned events for the Milky Way War, which will consist of at least three more series after The Purity, ultimately shaping the galaxy up to the Infernal Conspiracy, which, as you may have suspected, will have its epicenter in the seemingly isolated and inherited myth narrated in Legends of the Black Sun—the story of the last Heir, Revar.
The axis of these three series is, therefore, the establishment of a new human empire under a legendary figure, composed of the essence of all the heroes from the previous sagas. This archetypal figure will help shape the great devastation predicted by the Prophet of the Kurgan, a key piece in our story.
Thus, The Kurgan Crusade is the closest thing to what we will deliver in the next series, just as Quantum Leap, the eighth and final installment of Legends of the Black Sun, introduced many elements that were later used in The Purity. Everything follows a plan and pattern designed by Tolmarher in 2012, which has been evolving over twelve long years leading up to the publication of this article, and, if all goes well and by God’s will, will continue progressing as a possible and future history of humanity over the coming decades. Continuus Nexus is much more than just a work of science fiction and dark fantasy. At the time of writing this article, it boasts over three thousand written pages, with hundreds of described worlds and characters, and intricately interconnected storylines that form an infinite and captivating mosaic.
In The Kurgan Crusade, you’ll find answers to the main questions and storylines from The Purity, allowing you to draw your own conclusions and theories. However, you’ll also find a clear outline of what’s to come. Here, the Aspects of Khaos will confront the reigning Darkness. As we’ve already explained, just like human chakras, when these aspects become unbalanced, they bring Darkness—the evil opposite of the Light, the giver of life and gifts to humankind. Therefore, what lies ahead is absolute war and destruction before, perhaps, the Light can shine once more and triumph over its eternal opponent: Darkness.
