About Legends of the Black Sun

Legends of the Black Sun is the third series in the Continuus Nexus multiverse.

At first glance, this series does not seem directly connected to Chronicles of Aqueron or Red Messiah, but much like these two, its storylines and characters partially continue in the unifying series The Purity, and therefore in Song of Chaos and Darkness.

Alongside The Purity, Legends of the Black Sun serves as an accessible entry point to the Continuus Nexus, offering an adventure-driven narrative set in an unknown galaxy called Exodus.

Humanity reaches Exodus after escaping the apocalyptic annihilation brought upon by the Machine Mind in the Terra solar system. While this story is only briefly mentioned in Legends of the Black Sun, it is extensively developed in The Purity.

The human contingent fleeing destruction discovers a wormhole that allows them to escape and jump to this new galaxy, Exodus, where they start anew from a precarious star system called Genesis. Over time, humanity gradually expands throughout the Exodus galaxy, eventually uncovering a network of stellar anomalies that enable them to bypass relativistic effects, transporting them quickly between star systems and allowing for rapid colonization.

Not long after, the first ruins of a civilization presumed extinct for a million years, known as the Exo, begin to appear. Their technology and relics become highly sought-after in the black market.

Our novels begin more than 2,500 years after humanity’s arrival in Exodus and follow the adventures of Captain Deckar and his android Khotor aboard the starship Legacy. They come into possession of a mysterious map leading them to a Star Tomb in an unknown system in search of treasure and fortune. However, instead of wealth, they find a mysterious girl named Sael, hibernating in a destroyed and drifting Mordus sarcophagus.

This discovery marks the beginning of hundreds of adventures that will gradually unveil star empires, enigmatic factions, and countless plots aimed at securing humanity’s survival in Exodus. Sael becomes the central thread and heroine of this thrilling saga, though she is not alone. Her lineage and legacy leave a profound impact on the history of the Continuus Nexus, which cannot be fully understood without her.
